Goodbye, Caleb

Today, we took Caleb (Solomon) to reunite with his mother. It was an interesting experience.
On the way to the Children's Department, he seemed happy about going to see his mama. He smiled when I talked about her. When we got there, it was obvious that he knew his mother. He did smile when he saw her, but he did not want to go to her.

It is amazing how quickly little ones can bond. It is reassuring, in a way, to know that they will also be able to bond when leaving us and returning to their biological families or going with their adoptive families.

God bless you, little Caleb! We will miss you, and we pray that you will forever remember and know the love that was shown to you while in our home. May you one day make the connection and know that that is the love of Jesus. He was with you all the time, and He always will be.

Thank you, Lord, for allowing us to be there for this little boy when he needed a safe place to land.
