First Swimming Lesson!

Julia had her first swimming lesson yesterday. She was so excited!

She did a fabulous job and had a wonderful time. This little girl is not afraid of anything! She gets a little too adventuresome in Nana's hot tub, and she spends a lot of time there, so I thought it was time for a little training. She had never been in a big pool this size. She loved it!

Her first lesson included beginning safety skills like rolling over and floating (as if she is in distress) and how to climb out of the pool on her own.

And of course she had to talk, explain, and narrate through through the whole lesson. Her swim teacher is WONDERFUL! So great with little ones! She was great to carry on and make Julia do what she wanted her to even with Mom sitting on the sidelines. And I was a good mom to just sit and not say a word. Miss Jen is awesome!

My brave little girl did a great job on her first under water lesson as well!

Julia can't wait until her next lesson on Thursday! And Mom may have to rebudget September to make room for a few more lessons! :-) America is SO much fun!
